Cleaning Out Mom’s House With A Rental Dumpster

Last week we spent cleaning my mom’s house with the dumpster for rent out front. This made things a lot easier. She had a lot of trash and it was nice to get rid of so much of it. She told me it was hard for her to throw anything away and she needed my help to go through things.

I enjoy helping my mom with her house because I know it is hard for her to handle by herself. Before my dad passed away he did a lot but he can no longer help her. We live close so it is easy to go over there.

A few months ago we asked her if we could help clear out her house by getting a dumpster for rent. We knew that it would make cleaning the home easier and that we would be able to move more out of it. We talked to my mom and explained all of this to her. She was okay with it and told us to pick a week to work on it.

In addition to all of the trash, we were also able to donate a lot to the local thrift store. She had a lot of items that could have been sold but she wanted to give them away. I thought that was very nice of her.

When we first started going through things she got a little worried but we told her to just relax and let us do it. If anything looked important we were going to save it for her to look at before we got rid of it. She thought that was a good plan and I was glad she was okay with us doing that.

Once we were done with all of that work we were able to walk through the house, vacuum and start putting it back together. I had never seen it looking so nice and my mom was very happy. I hope that she can keep it looking nice so we don’t have to do this again in a few months.

If we do need to do it again we will rent a dumpster again. That made it a lot easier to move things out and it didn’t cost us too much to do that. It was easy to reserve it and they dropped it off early the morning we needed it.

I plan to tell my friends to get one if they need to clean out their homes. It was handy to just put stuff in there and not have to worry about it anymore. We can only fit so much trash in the regular trash bin so it was nice to have a much bigger space. We were able to get rid of some big things as well as a lot of little ones too. I am glad that I was able to help my mom with this project and get her home looking good again.
